St. Patrick's Day
We love St. Patrick's Day (or as the girls call it "Leprechauns Day"). This St. Patrick's Day the girls woke up and immediately went to see what pranks Lucky the Leprechaun played on us this year. This is some of what we found: green milk, leprechauns drawn everywhere, our couch blanket and tablecloth swapped, streamers in the hallway, our family letters rearranged, and our personal favorite, all of our shoelaces tied in knots!!!
The girls had so much fun looking for things the leprechaun did they even found a few that he did not do, but they blamed on him.
The horse poster Kennedy made was coming off the wall and they thought he did that. :)
Also, there are these distress marks on our entertainment center that they said are new, "leprechaun footprints." Hahaha!
After they surveyed the damage, they set out to find the treasure box the leprechauns hide for them every year. It was hidden under my step aerobics steps. They were delighted to find new markers, gold coins, rainbow jellybeans, and colorful balloon punchers! So much fun!
We ate our traditional St. Patrick's Day breakfast of Lucky Charms cereal with green milk and headed for church. After church we came home and had a fun green lunch of green quesadillas, cucumbers, and snap peas. Later we had some rainbow fruit kabobs for a snack.
In the evening we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Orme's house for a yummy dinner of green mashed potatoes, salad, and corned beef! (Unfortunately I did not take any pictures). It was fun to spend time with family celebrating such a fun holiday! :)
