Paige's Swimming Lessons

Like Jackson, Paige finished her second week of swimming lessons on Thursday. I was a little nervous about her starting since all my children seem to be deathly afraid of putting their face in the water. My fears were soon calmed though because the very first day, Paige began going underwater. We found her a teacher who taught out of a portable 4ft deep pool in her garage. The conditions were not ideal, but her teacher was amazing! She was very patient and great with the kids. It was also nice because Paige only had one other girl in her class so she got a lot of individual attention. By the end of two weeks Paige could: do underwater bobs, pick rings up off the bottom of the pool, float on her back all by herself, glide with a kick across the pool by herself, and she started to do the crawl stroke across the pool by herself. She loved it and we are looking forward to next summer when both Kennedy and Paige get to go.
