Avery's New Smile

For about a month now, both of Avery's front teeth have been getting wigglier and wigglier. Then, one day we finally convinced her to let Tobey pull the loosest one out. She was fine with him pulling it out until she saw the blood, then she freaked! She cried and cried but he managed to get the tooth out.
With only her one super loose front tooth left, she looked hilarious.
We teased her that she looked like Nanny McPhee. She was a good sport and posed for a "Nanny McPhee" picture. Hahaha! (If you have not watched that movie, I hightly recommend you do. It's one of our favorites) :)
Over the course of the day we begged her to let us pull the other tooth out. It was hanging by a thread and was obviously bothering her, but she would not have it. Finally, Tobey told Avery about a boy he knew when he was a little boy who lost both of his front teeth on the same day. Because it was such a rare thing to happen, the tooth fairy gave the boy $5.00!
This story made Avery's eyes light up, but she was still hesitant about getting her other tooth pulled out because she did not like the blood. She kept trying to wiggle it out herself. Finally, when it was close to bedtime she asked Tobey to pull out her tooth. She wanted to see if the Tooth Fairy would give her $5.00 as well.
Tobey pulled out her tooth and when she woke up in the morning there was $5.00 under her pillow. She was so excited about it. It was cute.

She is having a hard time adjusting to talking without her two front teeth and we all giggle whenever she talks. It has been fun. She is the only one who has had both front teeth missing at the same time.
Here she is with her adorable new smile.
