St. Patrick's Day 2014

St. Patrick's Day is always a fun day around our house. We are always excited to wake up in the morning and see what mischief and treasures the leprechauns have left for us.

The girls woke up to find that the leprechauns had decorated their doors.

They quickly escaped and began looking for their treasure box. They had to maneuver around the messes and that were left everywhere.... Beckham was super excited about the mess they made with his toys! :)

After finding their way through the crepe paper web left in the kitchen they found the treasure box in the oven.

However, this year there was not treasure inside...only a clue to start looking for the treasure. This started a shamrock treasure hunt which lead us to different places inside and outside of our house. Each place had a shamrock and a clue for the next place to search. There were clues in the toy box, the refrigerator, the front door, the couches, the bathrooms, and even the car. FINALLY we found the real treasure out on our back porch.

The girls opened it up to find a rainbow with gold at the end. It was a fun jar with  Jelly Bellies and gold coins!!!! They were very excited.

We had our traditional breakfast of Lucky Charms with green scrambled eggs. This is very exciting because it is the only day of the year Lucky Charms are eaten in our house!

The kiddos always dress in green for the day.

For lunch they had a fun green and shamrock lunch box.

And for dinner we had our FAVORITE holiday meal. We had Thresa come over and Kyle and Chessa were visiting us too, so it was extra fun. We stuffed ourselves with corned beef, bacon cabbage, green mashed potatoes and rolls. We also had mint chocolate chip Creamie bars for dessert.
Here are a couple other things that happened: Avery made a leprechaun trap at school, but those tricky leprechauns melted it and escaped.
And Beckham looked super cute in his Leprechaun hat!
We had a great St. Patrick's Day!!!
