Bountiful Harvest

Lately I have been feeling gratitude for being able to live in such an amazing little town, in a wonderful neighborhood and ward. The people in our ward are so thoughtful, kind, and selfless. We have been invited numerous times to go to people's houses and pick food from their gardens and fruit trees. A couple of weeks ago, the Eriksons had us come to their home to pick apples.
We had such a great time picking apples and playing in their HUGE beautiful backyard. It was a wonderful night for all of us. And because of the Erikson's generosity we have been able to enjoy several homemade apple pies. I am also going to attempt to make homemade applesauce this week. We feel truly blessed to know such kind people.

Beautiful family...BEAUTIFUL PIE!!! Whenever I tried to make a pie the crust would gather into a little island surrounded by the sea of filling.
